Christie is a proud, born and raised Texan. She and her husband Cary have 4 children who have attended Round Rock ISD schools for the last 17 years consecutively.
Christie holds a BA from Stephen F. Austin State University in Spanish and Psychology. She studied abroad in San Jose, Costa Rica, is bilingual, and earned a Texas Lifetime Secondary Education Certification.
Christie taught Spanish in Cy-Fair ISD and Georgetown ISD, and she was a Varsity cheerleading sponsor for several years. She enjoyed taking her Spanish students to climb the pyramids and study hispanic culture on Spring Break in Mexico City, as well as taking cheerleaders to sporting events and to perform in the NCA National Cheerleading competition.
Today Christie works as a Board Certified Professional Organizer in the greater-Austin area. As a productivity and organizing professional, she oversees commercial and residential project management. She identifies system inefficiencies and inadequacies, then formulates and executes solutions for her clients.
In her free time, Christie has been a homeroom mom, volunteered with the PTA, served in Student Ministry and has participated in international mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, the Dominican Republic and Ethiopia. Currently she teaches US Constitution classes, serves as a Precinct Chairman, participates in local civics clubs , and serves as the Grief Ministry Lead at The Fellowship Church where she and her family have worshiped and served for over 20 years.
